Hachinohe Gakuin Institute of Health and Sports Science

The Hachinohe Institute of Health and Sports Science was newly established in 2025 with the following two objectives.

(1) To further strengthen the brand power of “Hachinohe Gakuin in Sports”. We will build a research organization and develop human resources for researchers to support the improvement of sports performance with scientific evidence, based on the integration of sports science learning and athletic club activities. We will also work to elucidate the effects of habitual practice of physical exercise and sports on the promotion of children’s growth, development, and well-being, as well as on the prevention of lifestyle-related diseases in adults and the prevention of frailty in the elderly.

The following projects will be planned and promoted to achieve the project objectives.

(1) Research on health and sports

(2) Reflection of research results in educational programs and implementation of extracurricular courses, etc.

(3) Provide the results of research and surveys to the community and conduct educational activities

(4) Other activities necessary to achieve the objectives of the Institute.
